Completion

Friendly Description: A completion is simply what an AI gives back to you. You send it a prompt (your question or request), and the response it produces is called the completion. The name comes from the fact that early language models were trained to "complete" a piece of text, like finishing a sentence you started.

Example: If you type the prompt, "Write a haiku about morning coffee," the three lines of poetry the AI produces are the completion. Everything the model adds in response to your input is part of the completion.
