Narrow AI

Friendly Description: Narrow AI is AI that's really good at one specific thing and doesn't do much else. Almost all AI today is narrow AI. A spam filter is amazing at spotting junk mail but couldn't write you a poem. A chess program can beat grandmasters but can't tie a shoe. Narrow doesn't mean weak, it just means focused.

Example: The voice assistant in your car can understand directions and play music, but it can't help you write a wedding speech or diagnose a sick pet. It's a narrow AI built for a particular set of in-car tasks. AGI, by contrast, would handle all of those things and more.
