Prompt

Friendly Description: A prompt is just what you say to the AI. It can be a question, a request, a paragraph of background, or all of the above. The clearer and more specific your prompt, the better the AI's reply tends to be, the same way a clearer question to a friend usually gets a clearer answer.

Example: Typing "Write a friendly thank-you note to my neighbor for watering my plants while I was away" is a prompt. The AI takes that one sentence and turns it into a polished message you can send. Better prompts lead to better responses, which is why "prompt engineering" became a real skill.
